Challenge:
Psalm 97:1-9 “The Lord is king! Let the earth rejoice! Let the farthest coastlands be glad. 2 Dark clouds surround Him. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne. 3 Fire spreads ahead of Him and burns up all His foes. 4 His lightening flashes out across the world. The earth sees and trembles. 5 The mountains melt like wax before the Lord, before the Lord of all the earth. 6 The heavens proclaim His righteousness; every nation sees His glory. 7 Those who worship idols are disgraced — all who brag about their worthless gods—for every god must bow to Him. 8 Jerusalem has heard and rejoiced, and all the towns of Judah are glad because of your justice, O Lord! 9 For you, O Lord, are supreme over all the earth; you are exalted far above all gods.”
Psalm 96:10 told us that the Lord reigns and this fact is repeated here in this chapter. Surely when Jesus returns to this earth to reign all will rejoice, but for us we are already celebrating His kingdom today.
We are reminded here that our God isn’t at the mercy of nature, but rather it is at the rule of His infinite power.
Well the power is out here so my phone is running out of power, but stand tall my friends for He is above all power in our world.
SO GO WITH GOD for we have nothing to fear, for He stands eternal. Be in prayer for the many people who are displaced due to the fires. When trials come, remember He Is King. Though darkness surrounds us sometimes, and fire spreads around us, literally, yet He is supreme over all things.
