Trivia:
What did Jonah's family say when he told them about what happened before reaching Nineveh? Drum roll, ... "Hmm, sounds fishy." Ha, ha
Hey did you know that, You don't need a parachute to go sky diving? that's right, You just need a parachute to go sky diving twice. Think about that one.
Challenge:
Psalm 1:5 "Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgement, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteousness."
This verse is clarifying the response of the two comparative individuals:
The ungodly, those who live in rebellion against God, when they face judgement, have no stability,
Psa. 35:5 "they are blown away" and in Psa. 83:13 they "are scattered like tumble weed"
While those who walk in harmony with the sinful world (sinners) when faced with difficulty will be
alone, outside of any communion with those believers who strive to live in harmony with God's word
Satan seeks to convince these two groups to think that they are wise, filled with knowledge, are protected, but quite the opposite is true. When these two groups of people face the challenges of life they are either "blown away," or they "are alone and scattered away".
Neither of these situations appear to be places that are enviable, right? Both are in places of loss, and loneliness. They are among times of acceptability in this world, but when faced with hardship are alone and without any solace. Much like Adam and Eve were upon disobeying God, (ate the fruit of disobedience) they hid from God, and recognized their sinful condition. Not until they reached out to God did they experience the loving communion that we as believers experience within the Father's presence.
When we walk in the gracious company of our forgiving Father all is well, but when we walk away from Him, then the reality of our aloneness comes clearly into focus. Satan and the world attempts to promise fullness, joy, peacefulness but in reality we are unable to experience those times of blessing outside of connection with Him and His family. It is no wonder that the world is drawn to places that seem to compare to true fellowship, bars, parties, etc.
However, these artificial feelings are short lived when struggle comes into our lives. The presence of the Spirit and His promises are unable to be experienced without Him being welcome in our lives.
SO GO WITH GOD draw into His company, for when times of trouble come He is there, His children are there, and His Spirit who lives in you will arise in great power. Oh, you may experience a few moments of uncertainty, to begin with, but as soon as you call out, He will graciously come to you, through His Spirit and His family. Call upon Him my dear one, for He will fill your heart with His presence.
Don't allow yourself to be drawn into the changing winds of human culture, for they are ceaslessly
changing, and there iare no roots of care within them. Satan doesn't care for your soul, he only seeks destruction, unrest, and loneliness. Reach out to your Father for He careth for you.
