Good morning my dear ones. Thank you for praying for Robert's surgery, Sheldon reported that he is back home resting after his surgery. Please continue to pray for Robert & Betty, they are both such special people in our fellowship.
Well everyone guessed the right answer, For the animal that is unable to walk backwards. You all guessed kangaroo. They are such interesting animals. They can hop incredibly high, and travel up to 40mph. The scientist believe that it is because their tails are instrumental in their balance while moving forward, should they attempt to move backwards they would fall, because jumping in reverse would throw them off balance, due to the need for the balance by their tail. Oh well, due to their speed they make up for that directional limitation with the speed they can move in a circular motion in a retreat. Their thoughts would be, "Don't look back." Hah, hah.

Prov. 28:26 "Those who trust their own insight are foolish, but anyone who walks in wisdom is safe."
Developing this decision making process which is based on wisdom from God will be safe and very practical. For that person is basing their decions on fact (God's promise) rather than feelings. You may say, Just, Why do you say that?
Well the primary reason for that is found in Jer. 17:9 "The human heart is most deceitful of all things" In other wards due to the fact that our reasoning can be misdirected by our inner feelings. (our heart being the center of our feelings). Therefore, if we listen to our heart outside of what the Bible says we will be tricked by the great deceiver. (Satan) ie.
Eve was deceived & Adam was fooled because of his feelings for Eve, therefore sin entered into the world. Rom. 5:12 "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" Eve was deceived, but Adam knowingly chose to live by his feelings, and disobey Gods instructions, therefore, through that decision, sin entered into the world.
The warning here is, Don't allow ourselves to be influenced by our feelings. Walk in wisdom, for our feelings can be fooled. Satan's lie to Adam & Eve, Eat of this fruit & you will become wise even as God. Satan's lie Gen. 3:5 "For God knows that in that day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." Well they already knew good so Satan was telling a half truth.
We find that our feelings are many times based on a half truth. For the most part, people who become mad at God, usually only recognize half of the truth. They did recognize the evil, of disobedience to God. Have you noticed? Feelings are fickle! Have you ever been influenced by our world, to question God's wisdom? I know I have been, a number of times.
When we are swayed by our feelings, we are being tricked, like the sailor who threw his anchor inside the boat, thinking that this would result in safety, but did rather, in fact result in the boat being set totally adrift. Jer. 9:23,24 "This is what the Lord says: Don't let the wise boast in their wisdom, ... But those who wish to boast should boast in this alone: that they truly understand that I am the Lord who demonstrates unfailing love, and who brings justice and righteousness ... to the world"
Prov. 3:5 says it this way, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; (not half way) do not depend on your own understanding. " You see yielding to our own thinking, or impulses will lead us to foolish thinking, and maybe even great harm or death. Hold onto our anchor, Christ Jesus. Remember our promise of yesterday, "Trusting the Lord leads to prosperity" When we put our trust in Him we will never lose.
Being guided by our own immediate feelings, brings failure & harm, while being directed by the Spirit of God, brings peace, rest, and blessing. So true wisdom from God's word is always sure. We can stand in confidence when we trust in God & His word.
So Go With God, for He will always steer our life into blessings, rather than marshy, unstable, ground. Call upon on Him for wisdom, look deep into His word & His face and He will direct our paths. Guide your life by your confidence in God & His ways. We will look further on this outlook from scripture on Monday.
