Welcome to Tuesday my friend. We’ll, Can you tell me the type of tree you can hold in your hand? Yes, your right, A palm tree. Ohhhh
Our meditation today is found in Prov. 20:2 “The wrath of a king is like the roaring of a lion; Whoever provokes him to anger sins against his own life.”
Solomon is here reminding us of two things:
- Our authorities have been
placed in this role
- To offend him surely brings
punishment
This reminds of the 2 lessons we have learned from past Proverbs.
1) Our authorities have been
placed there to bring order
2) Obedience is imperative for
survival & benefit
This verse reminds us of the many freedoms we enjoy In our country.
As well as, why we celebrate our earthly citizenship.
No one person is given total, ultimate & final authority.
All of the authorities in our lives ultimately answer to the public community. (Are Elected)
They all answer finally to God.
So Go With God for He is our final, loving authority, and He knows the end from the beginning in all our ways. He holds the lives of those in authority over us & He will guide them for our benefit or remove them. What a comfort our Heavenly Father‘s presence is in our lives, each and everyday. Thank you father for your comfort to each of us.
