Trivia:

Which US state has the most active volcanoes? California; Hawaii; or Alaska.

Challenge:

Psalm 54:1-4 "Come with great power, O God, and rescue me! Defend me with your might. 2 Listen to my prayer, O God. Pay attention to my plea. 3 For strangers are attacking me; violent people are trying to kill me. They care nothing for God. 4 But God is my helper. The Lord keeps me alive!"

Some times others in our world accuse us of having a blind faith. However, that is not so, for faith is not blind. For in reality faith sees more. Faith sees the glory of the future in the gloom of the present. When you feel overcome and maybe even betrayed, then do what David did here. Make your prayer to your Father, and then lay hold of the promises of deliverance and guidance that alone come from our God, both now and in the future.

Claim the words of verse 4 that David witnessed over and over as he face the enemies of his time. "But God is my helper, The Lord keeps me alive!"

There are seemingly more of those people that David speaks of in verse 3 in our day."They care nothing for God". So many of our generation, question His very existence, even though we are more aware of the immensity of His creation. The expanse of the universe, the simpleness of our place in this great creation. The limited ability that they have to alter His creative power. Even with all of these overwhelming forces, yet still these simple, powerless people, act like they are more powerful than He is. In fact, they fail to recognize the extent of His power, or influence, in fact they would rather give homage to the seeming inaniment forces of this creation (ants, spiders, snakes, etc.).

In this passage it seems as though David is saying, FULL STOP, "God is my helper." It is He "The Lord (who) keeps me alive!" We must as David did in verse 7 remember that "You have rescued me ... and have helped me triumph over my enemies."

SO GO WITH GOD for only He can deliver us from the enemies of life. Satan, the demons, the wicked people of our day who seek nothing but the destruction of those who stand against their plans. REMEMBER, It is "The Lord who keeps you alive." "He rescues you from your troubles" "He who gives you triumph over your enemies." SO REST IN HIM MY SAINT. Stand in Him complete. For it is Jesus who paid it all.
