Trivia:

Thanks Becky for the explanation as to what a round means. Way to go everyone, you all got it right. The most popular songs often sung in a round, was Row, row, row your boat. I remember singing that song in music appreciation class in grade school and enjoying the harmony that we sang together.

Here is another trivia question. Which fruit is most consumed at breakfast in America? Banana; Grapefruit; Apple; Pineapple. Make your guess.

Challenge:

Psalm 22:26-31 "The poor will eat and be satisfied. All who seek the Lord will praise Him. Their hearts will rejoice with everlasting joy. The whole earth will acknowledge the Lord and return to Him. All the families of the nations will bow down before Him. For royal power belongs to the Lord. He rules all the nations. Let the rich of the earth feast and worship. Bow before Him, all who are mortal, and those whose lives will end as dust. Our children will also serve Him. Future generations will hear about the wonders of the Lord. His righteous acts will be told to those not yet born. They will hear about everything He has done."

I don't know whether you noticed but in this chapter there are several levels of response the writer speaks of (1-2) he laments being forsaken by God (3-5) he praises God for His deliverances

(6-8) He describes being publicly humiliated (9-11) he requests for God's protection due to his lifelong trust in Him (14-15) he describes his suffering (12-13; 16-18) how he is surrounded by enemies

(19-21) he asks God to deliver him (22-26) he praises God for Israel's salvation.

Now today the writer widens the scope (27-31) he praises and proclaims the extent of God's salvation to all nations and future generations. Notice the result of living in God's ways. Satisfaction, and limitless rejoicing, and at just the right time the Lord will return to gather His people. In this age He will rule over them in His wonders, and each generation will recognize the righteous treatment that He showers on His children.

Verse 31 speaks of His righteous acts that He showers on all mankind. The acts that He gave to all men were His saving work, the crucifixion. His death, burial, resurection and ascension are still celebrated by His children even today thousands of years later. through us setting at His table at communion.

1 Corinthians 11:26 "For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are announcing the Lord's death until He comes again."

SO GO WITH GOD my dear ones, for He alone leaves us with this eternal reminder of the extent of His love for you. Psalm 22:31 says, "His righteous acts will be told to those not yet born. They will hear about everything He has done." So when you are faced with difficulty and even suffering just stop to remember the extent of His "righteous acts" left for you to receive.
