Happy Thursday to you, Happy Thursday to you. Well it’s another great day for learning.

Do you know how big the Everglades are? Well, they are about 7,800 square miles. Becky, Josh and I took an excursion in that vast wetlands, a few years ago and we were amazed by the largeness of all the wildlife in this place. From butterflies, flies, birds, yes and even the Alligators. The mixture of fresh water & salt water have an amazing affect on the wild life found there.

They have set out numbered markers & elevated out houses in order to help you not to get lost and to stop & rest on.

Flies are abundant and require you to arm up with bug repellant or be mercilessly bit many times. Oh well, sorry for that rabbit trail.

Our meditation today is found in Prov. 20:22 “Don’t say, “I will get even for this wrong.” Wait for the Lord to handle the matter.”

This isn’t a lone verse emphasizing this thought, there are many such warnings. Here are some: Deut. 32:35; Prov. 17:13; Prov. 24:29; Matt. 5:38,39; 1 Thess. 5:15; 1 Peter 3:9.

One verse Rom. 12:17-19 stands out and enlarges on this thought. “Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable. ... Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. …”

David lived out this truth in his relationship with Saul in 1 Sam. 26:8-11 and our Father rewarded him many times over for his honorable treatment of His anointed.

We are counseled in this way due to our limited understanding & imperfection, rather we are instructed to commit our cause to our Father, who will perfectly watch over us, as well as, administer repayment.

We can know one thing for sure, we will walk in a peace that passes all understanding, due to following this advice.

So Go With God and He will fill your life with a peace in your heart & mind due to your honorable trust in His ways. Guilt & regret will never have a place in these matters in your life.
