Today let's answer another the age old question. Why did the tree go to the dentist? Well of course, In order to get a root canal. That's definitely getting to the root of the matter, haha hoho

Prov. 23:31-35 "Don't gaze at the wine, seeing how red it is, how it sparkles in the cup, how smoothly it goes down. For in the end it bites like a poisonous snake; it stings like a viper."

This warning gives us 5 ways that strong drink can affect us:

1) causes mental confusion

2) results in verbal disturbances

3) physical loss of bodily controls

4) feelings of illness, harm & hurt

5) strong desire to return for more

regardless of the past experience

Doesn't sound like much fun does it?

Surrendering yourself to over indulgence to strong drink brings all of the worst in life's experiences.

However, this is the escape that many in our day take to get away from their reality.

Satan attempts to lie & cause those who have rebelled against our Lords loving ways, into thinking that this is a better way. But rather it is a mind blowing, and destructive way. He strives to destroy our strengths & resources.

Growing up in a small town, teens would just after getting their driving license would drive 20 miles into the neighboring state. Their they could buy low grade alcohol. (9.02) They would then get together with other friends get drunk.

After getting drunk they would begin to throw up so would then get in their cars, and attempt to head home. Of course they would get pulled over for irratic driving and thrown in jail in order to sober up.

Upon returning to school on Monday they would tell their story of how great a time they had.

I would walk away thinking, how can they think that's fun? Since when does getting flu like symptoms, put in a concrete cell, and throwing up all night, lossing your license, and being grounded seem like fun.

But many teens would do it to their own harm. This is the very warning that Solomon is passing on to us.

So Go With God and He will bring into our lives true joy, peace, hope, and blessing. He will also guard our lives from falling into Satans traps of destruction. Rich is Christ's rewards.
