Trivia:

Way to go everyone, you got it right when you voted that Daniel Boone was famous for his exploration & settlement of Kentucky. In fact he blazed the Wilderness Road through the Cumberland Gap which lead many a wagon team through the mountains into Kentucky.

Here is a country music question. Who is known as the "Queen of country pop"? Is it, Taylor Swift; Shania Twain; Carrie Underwood; Dolly Parton ? See if you get the right answer.

Challenge:

Psalm 36:1-12 "Sin whispers to the wicked, deep within their hearts. They have no fear of God at all. In their blind conceit, they cannot see how wicked they really are, Everything they say is crooked and deceitful. They refuse to act wisely or do good. They lie awake at night, hatching sinful plots. Their actions are never good. They make no attempt to turn from evil. Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the oceans depths. You care for people and animals alike, O Lord. How precious is your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings. You feed them from the abundance of your own house, letting them drink from your river of delights. For you are the fountain of life, the light by which we see. Pour out your unfailing love on those who love you; give justice to those with honest hearts. Don't let the proud trample me, or the wicked push me around. Look! Those who do evil have fallen! They are thrown down, never to rise again."

In these verses we see painted before us a carefully constructed portrait that defines those who are godless in all of their ways, in total comparison to the careful description of Godliness. The writer uses course, harsh words to describe the evil one, while at the same time, very descriptive words which best describe the creator of the universe.

This portrait in verses 1-4 lays out the very hideousness of the evil one, carefully laying out the evil nature of the psalmist's enemy. While in verses 5-9 He then lays out the glory of God, His mercy, faithfulness, righteousness, while His purpose to follow after justice, loving kindness, and constant desire to bring light to His world. Finally in verses 10-12 His painting lays out the triumphal impact of His loving- kindness and all wise proceedings.

No words can fully express the infinitude of God's love, Ephesians 3:19 "May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God."

SO GO WITH GOD for He can take your life that is surrounded by the evil world and then bring to your life the most extensive benefit to your finite life. As in verse 12 we recognize that it is the writers faith that guides them from living being controlled by the fallen world to the joy of rising again.
