Trivia:

Good job everyone, July 4th was first celebrated with fireworks im 1976 in Philadelphia.

Challenge:

Psalm 32:11-33:11 "So rejoice in the Lord and be glad, all you who obey Him! Shout for joy, all you whose hearts are pure! Let the godly sing for joy to the Lord; it is fitting for the pure to praise Him. Praise the Lord with melodies on the lyre; make music for Him on the ten-stringed harp. Sing a new song of praise to him; play skillfully on the harp, and sing with joy. For the word of the Lord holds true, and we can trust everything He does. He loves whatever is just and good; the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth. The Lord merely spoke and the heavens were created. He breathed the word, and the stars were born. He assigned the sea its boundaries and locked the oceans in vast reservoirs. Let the whole world fear the Lord. and let everyone stand in awe of Him. For when He spoke, the world began! It appeared at His command. The Lord frustrates the plan of the nations and thwarts all their schemes. But the Lord's plans stand firm forever; His intentions can never be shaken."

Did you notice how the last verse of chapter 32 and the first 3 verses of chapter 33 are harmoniously link together? Then the next few verses lay out the very reason that we should strive in every way to bring out of our lives praise to the Lord. Through our singing, shouting, instruments (lyre, harps) and through our joyous expressions to each other.

Next the writer gives us the reasons that we should praise the Lord.

The words that He speaks to us are worthy of our trust and confidence

His unfailing love that He showers on all of those who live in this earth

His great ability to speak into existence the heavens, stars, the very boundaries of the seas, and He even locks the oceans into its proper place

He stands in force over all of the nations, thwarting any evel plans that they may have to harm the people of the world

It is for these very reasons that we should offer praise, revere Him and all of His works, and rest in His promises. His plans are forever followed, and His intentions to shower His love on His children can never be shaken.

SO GO WITH GOD children of the world's King, for His work will never be thwarted, or altered. His desire is that all of the ages will recognize and proclaim His goodness for all of mankind.

Yes, happy anniversary!
