Challenge:
Ecclesiastes 12:9 "And Moreover, because the Preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yes, he pondered and sought out and set in order many proverbs."
In fact 1 Kings 3:32 tells us this about Solomon, "He composed some 3,000 proverbs and wrote 1,005 songs." Just imagine on top of ruling and setting into place an orderly culture, he also built an elaborate Temple, brought Israel to a place of prominence. These are just a few of the achievements he accomplished, to name a few things he accomplished in his lifetime. Wow!
Solomon spent his life attempting to give order and organization that would cause Israel to become more than just a powerful military force, but he also guided a nation to great civil order. He set in order a regimen of practical laws and orderly guidelines to lead the nation, as well as, developing great art, architechture. Then he established a plan to provide great benefit to all of its people and to at the same time communicate these thoughts to its people.
He established a role of teaching the nations people through the religious order how to read and write and the establishment of accounting (Math). He together with the people of its nation brought great influence to the world. Just think in one generation he led the nation to build great libraries, schools, and established industry that brought great benefit to the entire world. He also taught the people how to navigate the vast oceans and bring many goods to their world. To top it off he wasn't selfish in all of these achievements but also passed these learnings on to his nearby world forces.
We are reminded by his example of the importance of conveying to others truth because truth ultimately brings benefit to everyone within its sphere of influence. So we must to the best of our ability seek to pass on those things which have been taught to us faithfully, consistently, and diligently.
SO GO WITH GOD my dear one, strive to pass on the practical guidance of the Bible to all who will hear. To attempt to bring honor and allegiance to our Lord for truly He is deserving of this.
