Trivia:

Well the last letter added to the English alphabet was "J". It wasn't fully recognized until the 16th century, before thay I & J were used interchangeably.

Which is the slowest mammal in the world? Koala; Sloth; Panda Bear; Slow Loris? Make your guess!

Challenge:

Psalm 92:9-15 "Your enemies, Lord, will surely perish; all evildoers will be scattered. 10 But you have made me as strong as a wild ox. You have annointed me with the finest oil. 11 My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies; my ears have heard the defeat of my wicked opponents. 12 But the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow like the cedars of Lebanon. 13 For they are transplanted to the Lord's own house. They flourish in the courts of our God. 14 Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green. 15 They will declare, "The Lord is just! He is my rock! There is no evil in Him!"

In the last verses of yesterday's meditation we saw the consequence of rebelling against God and His commands; they will be destroyed like burned weeds, they will ultimately perish, and be scattered by their refusal to obey and follow after God.

In these verse today we see the many blessings that are poured out upon those who are followers of God:

God makes them strong (compared to the strongest beast known to man, the ox)

He annoints them with the finest oil (they are declared especially honored and blest)

They are given the victory over their most powerful enemies

They are caused to flourish like palm trees in arid climate and like cedars in mountainous climate

They are given the priviledge of honor & blessing by being placed permanently in God's presence

Even when many become weak in their later years, they are recognized and valued and desired by

the youth of their day

Not only will they be honored but they will provide wisdom & productivity to all of those in their lives

Finally: Their lives continually bring praise to God for His continual just dealings; His faithful

steadfastness that He lives out to all; as well as, the very fact that He is never in any way poring evil of

anyone.

All of these blessings and desirable qualities can be apparent in our lives as we draw near to our Lord and Savior each day.

SO GO WITH GOD my saint, for in those many times that we walk in obedience and harmony with Him, we will be blest in these many ways. As well meditate and live in harmony with His Spirit in our life we will also be overflowing with these qualities in our life.

I know this to be true by my dad's example, many were the time that people who surrounded his life both in the past and in the present, who would come to him for counsel. Even when he was in a state of confusion in dementia those who cared for him spoke of their sadness in his leaving this life. For he kindly led them to seek God in their lives. This was proven by the many caregivers who attended His memorial service, in honor of his many words of wisdom and compassion that he shared with them.
