Well, believe it or not it is Friday, Wow, amazing, Huh??? Well, yesterday I ask you if you knew about the color code of the various utility providers in your home. By your lack of involvement, I assume you may not know, so I'll tell you a few important ones. Red of course is for electrical conduit or cables, Yellow is for natural gas; Blue is for potable drinking water. These are the main ones.

So on the lighter side: Can you guess, What restaurant is always on time for every meeting? Yep you guessed it! Marie Callender's. Way to go! I knew you could get this one. Some would say that this was a timely matter. Ho. Ho.

Prov. 30:14 "They have teeth like swords and fangs like knives. They devour the poor from the earth and the needy from among humanity"

This is the final warning that is given to those who refuse to offer honor & respect, to worst of all, their parents but also to others that are worthy of respect in their lives.

To sum up these past few verses that are referring us to those who are irreverent even to their parents who gave them life. He describes them in this way, are you ready? They are ungrateful, hypocritical, proud, cruel ingrates. Now I'm sure that you would agree, that is a mouth full. In other words Gods doesn't really have many kind words for these folks.

Interestingly enough, this is the only place in the entire Bible that describes anyone with these sorts of offensive word usages. No other group of people are described in this way. So, in other words, I think we can venture to say, this group/generatioin of people are some of the most offensive to God.

I think part of the reason that God is so repulsed by them is the fact, of just how far they will go in order to satisfy their greed. They will go to the point of destroying those very people who make available their wealth, and greed. They tear them (those who serve them) down by exacting exhausting expectations, a low level of rewards, poor conditions, and total unjust expectations. To the point of total destruction for all, people, animals, and even of those necessary provisions, in their lives. (Land, water, even to the point of mixing hurtful resources into the products they produce for gain.)

Wow, talk about intrinsically evil, woe are they. They have such little regard for others that they would as Amos 8:4 says "... rob the poor and trample down the needy." This passage refers to the lowering of the value they place on others life, to the extent that they would mix tares into the wheat, even though the tares would catch in the children's throat & chock them.

Well I think we get the point, disrespect by a generation is one of man's greatest evils.

What a warning, it should shake our very minds & hearts. I think this lesson we have been taught by the Bible is so important for us to "Guard our hearts." The evil world about us seeks to remove from us this most vital quality. To honor & respect one another, Why? Because it is the most precious resource to hold onto. Without it our very life weighs in the balance.

David gave us this prayer for us to seek in Psa. 141:3 "Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips,"

When we begin the slippery slope to being critical of God's workings in our life, then that lack of confidence & trust moves into our treatment of all others, of those He has created.

So Go With God for He alone guards us from the evil of our world. We must sing Oh Lord, "Open the eyes of my heart Lord, "
