Trivia:

Do you know; Which country has a LEGO bridge you can walk across? USA; Germany; Netherlands; Japan? Make your guess!

Challenge:

Psalm 74:18- 23 "See how these enemies insult you, Lord. The foolish nation has dishonored your name. 19 Don't let these wild beasts destroy your turtledoves. Don't forget your suffering people forever. 20 Remember your covenant promises, for the land is full of darkness and violence! 21 Don't let the downtrodden be humiliated again. Instead, let the poor and needy praise your name. 22 Arise, O God, and defend your cause. Remember how these fools insult you all day long. 23 Don't overlook what your enemies have said or their growing uproar."

This last section we see how the Psalmist was in a haze, he sees his city, Jerusalem going up in smoke, even the temple is being set on fire in order to melt the gold away from the stone in order to pillage the gold.

He has asked the question "Lord, remember. Have you forgotten us." six times throughout this chapter. Yet ultimately we must remember that God is faithful to protect His children, but first, the nation needed purification from those who were naming themselves as His chosen people and yet failed to walk in obedience to Him. They harmed the name of Jehovah Jireh before the world due to their desire for His physical blessings, but not desirous of true fellowship with Him.

Remember in Genesis 17:3 when Abraham was 99 years old God gave him his affirmation of the eternal covenant. "At this, Abram fell face down on the ground. Then God said to him, 4 This is my covenant with you: I will make you the father of a multitude of nations!"

Today we see this promise upheld first through the rebirth of the nation of Israel today, as well as, through the church and its influence throughout the world. People are coming to the Saviour daily by the multitudes and through their faith coming to fulfill this eternal covenant, by becoming the children of Abraham through His Son, Jesus.

Maybe you are in the middle of the haze that the writer of this Psalm was in. Maybe you, too, wonder if the Lord has forgotten you. If so, I believe you'll find the answer in this next Psalm that we will delve into tomorrow.

SO GO WITH GOD my dear one, for He will come to you in your time of need and He will always fulfill His covenant promise to you, He will make you as He promises in verse 6 "I will make you extremely fruitful." You see our Heavenly Father only allows the struggles that come into our lives in order to keep us strong, to keep our eyes on the things that truly matter, and most importantly to help us align our lives with Him and His ways. So we need to look at these challenges (problems) as our friend guiding us forward to fulfill God's purpose throughout our lives.
