Trivia:
Way to go everyone, yes MacGyver used his faithful Swiss Army Knife to help him with the many delimma's in his life, just as John said our great provider is our faithful, all knowing Father is the source of our needs in life.
Where did the popular cooking game show "Masterchef" originate from? United Kingdom; United States; Canada; Australia? Make your guess.
Challenge:
Psalm 78:67-72 "But He rejected Joseph's descendants; He did not choose the tribe of Ephraim. 68 He chose instead the tribe of Judah, and Mount Zion, which He loved. 69 There He built His sanctuary as high as the heavens, as solid and enduring as the earth. 70 He chose His servant David, calling Him from the sheep pens. 71 He took David from tending the ewes and lambs and made him the shepherd of Jacob's descendants--God's own people, Israel. 72 He cared for them with a true heart and led them with skillful hands."
In this last section of Psalm 78 God points out to us here in these verses that He doesn't desire of us to be strong, powerful, tall, smart, or handsome, rather He desires that we spend our lives caring for His children, reaching out to those who desire to know God. He rejected the northern tribes represented by Ephraim, and instead chose to live among the common tribes, the smaller, even less significant cities of Judah, to build His temple.
Now we may be asking WHY??? Verse 72 tells us the answer to our question. "He (David) cared for them with a true heart and led them with skillful hands."
Now you may be asking; What does that mean "a true heart?" Well my conclusion goes back to the Bible's inferences about David, "a man after God's own heart."
More to follow on this passage tomorrow. Until then, go with God!
