Our meditation for today is found in Prov. 19:19 “A man of great wrath (hot-tempered man) will suffer punishment; For if you rescue him, you will have to do it again.”

There is something we must take into account when reading & meditating on Proverbs and that is that they aren’t rules or promises. Rather, they are general principles that we need to carefully, wisely, apply to differing situations.

In the future we will be looking at Prov. 26:4,5 which seemingly each verse contradicts the next, however, they actually compliment one another, and add depth to our decision making.

This verse helps us to understand that there are people who are prone to outbursts, and then how we should respond to these tendencies. Not to give up or expect them to never recur, however, to help them slowly diminish as we help them recognize the inevitable outcome.

So Go With God whether we are prone to outbursts or whether we

have people in our lives who are prone to them. To learn the value or the remedy of either overcoming these tendencies or assisting those who are prone to them. Then we will be able to gain strength through these life’s challenges.
