Happy Monday, well all of you took a great guess, but, the pasta sauce chosen was Amatriciana. It's ingredients were guanciale (pork cheek) which is what adds the smoky flavor. Then the creamy texture of the cheese tops off the flavor. Good job everybody.
By the way do you know where fisherman get their hair cut? Well, of course, at the bobber shop. Ha Ho.

Prov. 29:18 "Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keeps the law, happy is he."
This passage reminds us of just how important it is that we gain spiritual insights, from the scripture, for without God's daily revelations to us we are destined to live under the circumstances of life. Then this results in us being influenced by the worlds, lawless, purposeless, meaningless, directions.
However, as we draw upon God's words to us each day, we are given a new outlook on life in a daily fashion. This in turn brings joy & fulfillment to our lives. For God sees beyond the daily routine from an eternal, supernatural viewpoint. This view brings joy & meaning to our everyday life.
This moves our life from a reactionary lifestyle, to a visionary outlook. From just responding to our world which surrounds us, to a futuristic beneficial outlook.
The perfect example of this was seen when God appeared to young Samuel, in 1 Sam. 3:1 and throughout these two books, God continually made appearances which brought about influential appearances to His people.
This is the perfect example of the difference between when we are committed to knowing & honoring the scriptures or ignoring His influence on our lives. One we are guided with an eternal outlook, or Two we are just running here & there (purposeless, versus, purposefull). Today, due to our nations drifting, from one shiny thought to another, we are as the verse says "running wild".
However, as the verse says, we can independently follow after the ways of God, His laws, and enjoy the benefits, His joyful working in our life. Unfortunately, we may live in this bubble of blessing so long that we forget the requirements (living in obedience to His instruction).
When I was about 12 years old, my dad & I were moving some large concrete blocks to create a retaining wall. Due to the shape of these blocks my dad had to hold the cable in place when I was slowly picking them up, and it was important that I slowly lift them up with the wench truck. Because they were so heavy it was a balancing act because if the truck would lift them up too high then the front of the truck would come off of the ground, then the task of steering it was impossible. So we had to lift it up just enough to maintain steering & then drag the blocks.
My dad would stand in front & signal me to lift or lower the blocks, this was tedious & required that I keep following dads view for I couldn't see the rear where the blocks were & the front of the truck where the steering ability was. This reminds me of our lesson today, lending our response to God's instruction in order to be guided through life's struggles & challenges.
So Go With God for He knows what the future holds, so to ignore His guidance can result in disaster. I remember once while letting the block down I released the clutch too quickly & the wench lost it grip on the block and the boom lurched forward and fell down on the truck crushing the cab roof top. From that time, every time I would walk by the truck I would see that cab top & be reminded of the result of not keeping my eyes on dad in setting down the block at the right speed.
Later we had to jack up the roof so the water wouldn't run into the cab when it rained. We must remember to keep our eyes on God, for He has the ability to envision what's ahead & what's behind & how both will influence our lives.
