Here's a riddle for you to respond to. What has four fingers and a thumb but isn't alive? Make your guess.
On the lighter side: What did the duck say when she bought lipstick? Drum roll please ... Put it on my bill.
Challenge:
Psalm 4:6,7 "Many people say, "Who will show us better times?" Let your face smile on us, Lord. You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine."
This first verse reflects on God's words to His children in Numbers 6:24-25 "The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace."
Notice verse seven (God's number for completion) the writer reflects on the joy that only God can spread on our lives, and how it is greater than any sort of success, or earthly influence that we may ever encounter.
With a world that seems to be anchored on discontent and pessimism, God promises true joy and contentment, when we rest in His unfailing love. Don't fall into the trap that desires blessing without the "Blesser", for even though our lives may be filled with uncertainty, there is never uncertainty with God.
This promise reminds of a song that we sang many times as a family, it goes like this: "If you want joy, real, wonderful joy, let Jesus come into your heart; your sins he'll wash away, your night He'll turn to day. Your life He'll make over anew; If you want joy... "
SO GO WITH GOD for as we walk together with Him we can then know true lasting joy.
If you have time, listen to this song that is sung by Cypress Choral Music If you want joy. or on You Tube: by Martha Reed Garvin
I am going to piggyback on Lindsay's, a doll makes sense to me, but she gets the credit!
