Do you know which nation group used fingerprints first as a means of identification? Yes, it was the Chinese who led the way in fingerprint ID.
Prov. 24:13,14 “My child, eat honey, for it is good, and the honeycomb is sweet to the taste. In the same way, wisdom is sweet to your soul. If you find it, you will have a bright future, and your hopes will not be cut short.
This verse is comparing the sweetest, healthiest sense to the taste buds to the best source of wisdom and the best outcome of seeking it out in His word, the Bible.
Just as honey when it is pursued brings fulfillment, wisdom when it is sought after brings contentment & enrichment. Psalm 19:10,11 promises great rewards when we read, seek understanding and then obey His word in our lives. This passage promises that as we dig through His words, we will experience a brighter future as well as a hope filled life.
Seeking out wisdom is a rigorous exercise, however, it is an enjoyable, beneficial and pleasant work.
By the way, Marcus Varro first concluded that the hexagon (bee hive shaped) was the strongest, most space-efficient formation, while Thomas Hales finally proved this to be the case. Just think, bees require consuming 8 pounds of honey to form 1 pound of wax. The honeycomb is not only strong, but also dissipates heat most effectively, and can also house bee larvae most efficently. This shape pattern is used in applications requiring strength as well as being light in weight.
By the way, in the medical field, honey is one of the foods used to reignite damaged taste buds, along with lime, lemon juice, and hot peppers. The slow, slight incremental application of these varied foods has been proven to return damaged taste buds to more normal function.
Just as honey being sweet & pleasant to eat, we will find that as we acquire a taste for wisdom and understanding, we will want more & more. As we start reading, then studying, which results in us meditating, and ultimately cultivating an appetite for wisdom we will be filled with strength & hopefulness.
Marcus Varro was influenced in his scientific research by his study of the Bible, which resulted in the weight reduction & strength still being used today in the fabrication of aircraft, boxes, large building construction, telescope production, etc. God‘s creation of the bee hives led to us developing many beneficial products today.
So Go With God and as we gain from His wisdom passed onto us we will bring hope to our world. His wisdom is packed into the scriptures just waiting for us to stumble onto it.
