Well Wednesday has arrived upon us. I was wondering if you knew, What is a grasshoppers favorite game? Well cricket, of course. Ha!

Our meditation today is found in Prov. 20:3 “Avoiding a fight is a mark of honor; only fools insist on quarreling.”

Have you ever noticed that when a person has no words to defend his actions, his tendency is to retreat to personal attacks? Which he then seems to move toward physical attacks.

Words have great power, they can bring peaceful solutions, positive movement, blessings, and confidence; You can probably think of many other benefits of wisely used words.

Matt. 5:9 reminds us that “a peacemaker is under the very blessing of God. “

There are more than 400 verses speaking of the value of peace. In fact Ps. 75:8 says “righteousness & peace have kissed each other.”

When God was pleased with His children you will notice that His greatest gift that He placed on them was peace.

When you study offerings you will also notice that peace offerings are mentioned the most often.

Isa. 9:6 one of the titles Jesus the Son of God is given is The Prince of Peace.

I don’t think these many occurrences in the Bible are mistaken. The very fact that the man of peace is given honor & glory; while the man of conflict is spoken of as shameful; is no coincidence.

Now, there are times of debate, discussion and the seeking of truth, but they are not to escalate into physical conflict. The greatest harm to open debate/discussion is

the potential of physical conflict.

So Go With God & He will bring peace, wisdom, and blessings, into your life. He will also go before us and bring protection and defense to us His children. Finally Notice, how Jesus spoke truth without starting fights.
