Trivia:

Way to go everybody you were absolutely right about where the Master Chef was originated, It began to be filmed in the United Kingdom.

Who wrote under the pen name of "Silence Doigwood"? Charles Lutwidge Dodgson; Benjamin Franklin; Mark Twain; George Orwell. Let's see if you know this bit of trivia.

Challenge:

Psalm 79:68-72 He chose instead the tribe of Judah, and Mount Zion, which He loved. 69 There He built His sanctury as high as the heavens, as solid and enduruing as the earth. 70 He chose His servant David, calling him from the sheep pens. 71 He took David from tending the ewes and lambs and made him the shepherd of Jacob's descendants--God's own people, Israel. 72 He cared for them with a true heart and led them with skillful hands."

Today we want to consider just what is being intimated by the statement "He cared for them with a true heart and led them with skillful hands."

We might be thinking just how is a "true heart" fleshed out through our lives? To begin with we see its evidence in 2 Samuel 7:2 "David said (to Nathan the prophet) "Look I am living in a beautiful cedar palace, but the Ark of God is out there in a tent." This conversation with Nathan opens before us David's true heart. His greatest desire was for His Great, Mighty, and Glorious God to be placed among the people so that He (God) would be seen in all of His glory for all of the world to see.

Next we see just what God's desire was for us in the next few verses, God told David that His greatest desire was not to demonstrate himself in the beauty of buildings but in the hearts of mankind. His desire was that according to verse 19 of 2 Samuel 7 that the nations fathers and leaders be to pass on a living legacy. (A lasting dynasty) Not to be seen in the beautiful buildings but lived out in the hearts and lives of mankind.

WE are so blessed that we have been given the priviledge of living out the full blaze of Our Father's love for us demonstrated in the full blaze of Calvary's love, His willingly sending our living, loving Savior, Jesus Christ into the world to die for our sins.

Now let's delve into what is meant by the words "skillful hands.". I think that it would have been easy to become jealous that his son Solomon was given the honor of building this temple, but notice this, his attention was immediately turned to focusing on the preparations needed in this project and in the gathering of the needed supplies for this massive building.

But most important David focused the nation on the things that mattered most to God. Listen to God's words to Solomon, after he had completed building the temple in 1 Kings 9:4 "... if you follow me with integrity and godliness, as David your father did, obeying all my commands, decrees, and regulations, then I will establish the throne of your dynasty over Israel forever."

David shepherded the nation with "skilled hands." David acheived this task with expert dynamic that , Psalm 23 and John 10 both give this continual direction to us today.

SO GO WITH GOD for He has made clear to us what is His greatest priority. A true heart, and skillful hands. So my dear one. Daily take time to cleanse your heart and then read His words in order to gain the skill that you need to lead your efforts if this day.
