Well good morning can you believe it? How long do you think a Giraffe's tongue is? Is it 12 inches; 24 inches; 18 inches; or 8 inches? Make a guess!

Knock, knock. Who's there? To. To who? No! It's To Whom? Oh well that tells you why it took me two years to pass, Language Arts.

Wednesday 8/23. By the way, Don't forget tonight's Bible study at 7pm. Hope to see ya there.

Eccl. 3:8b "A time for war and a time for peace."

In case you didn't notice, yesterday's verse looked from positive "love" to negative "hate" while today's section goes in reverse order. It begins in referring to negative "war" and ends in positive "peace".

This section has focused us on a poem that could be called "Times", Eccl. 3:1-8. In the next few verses we will be drawn to the originator who determines how this benefit is determined. More tommorow.

If you stop to determine just "What is history"? You come to the conclusion that it is the recounting of wars & peace.

Just think for a minute, Who was called "Prince of Peace"? __________

Right, Jesus, as it was declared that some day He was coming into the world. Isa. 9:6 "His name shall be called Wonderful. Counselor, The Mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

Mankind & Satan brings war into our world, while our Heavenly Father yearns to bring peace and reason into our world, and our lives. No wonder he is called Wonderful, Counselor, ... Prince of Peace.

Notice the terms prince & peace are spoken of 12 times in just 3 verses. When we allow ourselves to be drawn to Him peace remains in our lives, however, have you noticed. When we draw ourselves to the worldly system which surrounds us, chaos & turmoil arrives on the scene almost immediately.

So Go With God for then you will know peace & calm. Rest in Him my dear one, for He brings solace, completion, and hope to this hopeless, crazed, angry world. James counsel's us in James 4:8 "Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you."

Notice David's prayer in Psa. 69:18 "Draw near unto my soul, and redeem it:" Oh my dear ones He has done just that for us, many of us years ago, however, this cleansing, redeeming work is up to us this very moment.

He is there right this moment, as you read His words to you, "Draw near". Oh my sweet dear, precious child, He is calling out to you, Won't you please come to me?

Here we are, in a time of weakness, while at the same time, there He is "Wonderful (literally all that we could desire) Counselor (with all of His heart & compassion directed to us in tenderness) The Mighty God (nothing can stand strong against Him), The everlasting Father (at no time will He not be our protector, now, tommorow, next year, forever) The Prince of Peace (calm & solace all surround us).

Take the time to listen to When Peace Like A River/Jehovah Shalomn Acapella on you tube, soak your mind & heart in the words of this song. It is well with my soul, for when we rest in The Peace only He can give we will have rest.
