Trivia:

You got it right, it was the Preamble to the Constitution that began with "We the people"

Hey do you know which country has the most time zones? Is it the United States; Russia; France: or Australia? Make your guess.

Challenge:

Psalm 96:7-13 "O nations of the world, recognize the Lord; recognize that the Lord is glorious and strong. 8 Give to the Lord the glory He deserves! Bring your offering and come into His courts. 9 Worship the Lord in all His holy splendor. Let all the earth tremble before Him. 10 Tell all the nations, The Lord reigns! The world stands firm and cannot be shaken. He will judge all peoples fairly. 11 Let the heavens be glad, and the earth rejoice! Let the sea and everything in it shout His praise! 12 Let the fields and their crops burst out with joy! Let the trees of of the forest sing for joy 13 before the Lord, for He is coming! He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world with justice, and the nations with His truth."

It is interesting to notice that in the beginning of this Psalm it begins by telling us three times to "Sing a new song" Then in the middle of this Psalm, verse 7 to "recognize the Lord" three times. Then in the very last verse we are told that "He is coming to judge the world." again three times.

If we remember when something is repeated in the Bible several times it is repeated in order to emphasize these things to us. So we are as a result of these repetitions being reminded of the importance of all three of these things so that we will not forget these important steps that we should uphold in our lives.

Never forget that singing to the Lord out of our knowing of the importance of our rejoicing for His saving works. Then never forget to reflect on the fact that He is working on our behalf each day. Finally, that we should joy in the fact that our loving, powerful Lord will return to bring justice, and truth to its proper place for all to see and experience.

Several years ago we as a family were visiting family and friends in Missouri and we decided to together as a group of family go to visit dad in his care facility. We all 30 people brought him some treats and together talked to him he was clouded by his state of dementia, but glad to be with us.

We decided to sing some songs of praises to God there in the community room. As we began singing there were many folks who were scattered around the care center, but they were drawn to sing with us those great songs of praise.

We sang like a great choir, and dad in those minutes joined us in song. It was like he woke up and rejoiced with us, and he joined us by singing, smiling with the greatest joy, it was like he awakened from slumber for those few moments. He said oh hasn't our Lord been wonderful to us? Then he, as it were went back into his haze.

In that moment I was taken back to those Friday nights that we as a family would visit grandma & grandpa for hamburgers, root beer, and smooth sailin' candy bars, and then we would sing songs and then grandpa would say, kids let's pray for those who don't know our Lord to come to know Him.

SO GO WITH GOD for He loves all who He created and yearns for them to fellowship with Him, and enjoy that community of believers who have the joy that He brings to our lives. Oh, my saints draw near to Him and rejoice in His present and communion that we enjoy due to coming into His prsence.
