Trivia:

Though milk is a very popular beverage, Kentucky Bourbon is the only beverage declared by congress to be distinctly a product of the U.S. it was declared a symbol of craftsmanship & tradition in the country's spirits industry. Though I have never actually even tasted this beverage congress declared this to be so in 1964.

Here is a new trivia not known by most folks. Which U.S. president was the only one to perform at the Grand Ole Opry? Was it Jimmy Carter; Richard Nixon; John F. Kennedy; or Bill Clinton?

Challenge:

Psalm 65:1-13 "What mighty praise, O God, belongs to you in Zion. We will fulfill our vows to you, 2 For you answer our prayers. All of us must come to you. 3 Though we are overwhelmed by our sins, you forgive them all. 4 What joy for those You choose to bring near, those who live in your holy courts. What festivities await us inside your holy Temple. 5 You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds, O God our savior. You are the hope of everyone on earth, even those who sail on distant seas. 6 You formed the mountains by your power and armed yourself with mighty strength. 7 You quieted the raging oceans with their pounding waves and silenced the shouting of the nations. 8 Those who live at the ends of the earth stand in awe of your wonders. From where the sun rises to where it sets, you inspire shouts of joy. 9 You take care of the earth and water it, making it rich and fertile. The river of God has plenty of water; it provides a bountiful harvest of grain, for you have ordered it so. 10 You drench the plowed ground with rain, melting the clods and leveling the ridges. You soften the earth with showers and bless its abundant crops. 11 You crown the year with a bountiful harvest; even the hard pathways overflow with abundance. 12 The grasslands of the wilderness becomes a lush pasture, and the hillside blossoms with joy. 13 The meadows are clothed with flocks of sheep, and the valleys are carpeted with grain. They all shout and sing for joy!”

This Psalm is considered to be a

Thanksgiving Psalm that declares all of the reasons that we offer up praise and our expressions of joy. It was usually proclaimed by the Israelites particularly at the times of harvest. It also was a prayer asking for and anticipating God’s blessings.

Notice:

verse 1-4 begins by praising God’s presence and protection

Verse 5-8 then praises God’s strength and sovereignty over all of creation

Verse 9-13 concludes by thanking God for His many provisions and blessings on the land

After pouring through these many reasons for the workings of God in our lives, then we are overwhelmed with the many provisions that our Heavenly Father has poured out over our lives.

How you care for the earth watering it and causing it to become fertile for all who make the effort to plant and harvest.

Then you cause the earth to soften then you bless all of the crops that men have planted.

He causes even the grass wher no one harvests, but you cause it to flourish for the rest of your creatures.

I have never thought just how our Father looks at the earth as being clothed with the herds of His creatures. and the valleys as being carpeted with grain. Then the fact that these His creatures shout and sing for

Joy at His provisions for them.

SO GO WITH GOD for He cares and joys in providing for all of His creation. As mankind we many times get caught up in only thinking of the world from our perspective. But in all reality He our Faithful God cares for every part of His creative hand. The soil, the grasslands, the grain to feed the creatures of the earth, etc. He cares for each part of His creation. So my dear one don’t allow the fear of what lies before us in the future.

He is capable of taking care of each need that we have. If He can control all of His creation from the stars of the furthered part of the universe to the springs under the oceans. So stop my dear one, and calmly place your needs in His care. The events of yesterday

We’re no surprise to Him, and this days concerns are resting in His hands and yes, even tomorrow’s considerations are upheld for us.

So the struggles of next week are already being cared for by our loving, faithful Father in yours and

My life. As the saying goes, “I’ve Got

This”. If He can take all of these concerns and place them in a good place in our lives can He set those needs of tomorrow and next week, and next month, and next year in our

lives, can He care for you and those

you love?

Yes! He can and will, we will see. Yesterday I was listening through the book of Isaiah and I was again amazed by our Father’s care for even those unfaithful believers of that day. My dear one rest in His protective care for you.
