Trivia:
Good guess everyone, but the famous writer who many times napped under his desk with a blanket was... wait for it... Charles Dickens.
Here's another brain teaser... Which US waterfall is know for its dangerous currents and fatalities? Multnomah Falls; Yosemite Falls; Havasu Falls; Bridelveil Falls; Make your guess.
By the way did you know that Angel Falls in Venezuela, is the world's tallest waterfall, dropping 3,212 feet in one complete descent.
Challenge:
Psalm 28:6-9 "Blessed be the Lord, because He has heard the voice of my supplications! The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him. The Lord is their strength, And He is the saving refuge of His anointed. Save Your people, And bless Your inheritance; Shepherd them also, And bear them up forever."
This morning I would like to point out just one phrase in verse eight. "He is the saving refuge of His annointed", just think, God has commissioned first the Jews and now us through Christ, we have been placed in our world to be His voice. As Kevin, Lindsay's husband says, the very face of Jesus. What a hallowed and majestic position we have been given.
Just think about this with me for a minute, you and I have been commissioned, like a great ship the rope is tethering a massive ship that is christened (the rope is released) and declared the name it has been declared to represent and travel into the massive ocean to declare its title for all the world to be reminded of. We have been given the name above all names, CHRISTIANS, or little Christ's. Our life role is to declare His matchless name for all the world to be reminded of and to be recognize.
The Psalmist goes on to tell us what our Savior has declared us to proclaim, live out each day:
Verse 9 "Save your people" He has declared that's we will proclaim throughout our lifetime that He is the Savior of the world, for all who will receive Him into their lives. They are privileged to be called His.
"And bless your inheritance;" He has promised that the many blessings of His inheritance is poured out on us and all those around us, for all eternity.
"Shepherd them also," He the mighty God who cares for our safety, our daily provisions, of food, water, strength, wisdom, etc. He sets at the door of the very place of safety, so that no unnecessary harm can come to our lives.
"And bear them up forever." Our Lord promises to hold us up, not just for this moment, or for the next few hours, but for instead FOREVER, without ending.
SO GO WITH GOD unashamedly for He has called us HIS very inheritance, not just His children bearing His name, but all that entails Him in absolutely every way. We aren't just His children, my dear one, but He has called us His very presence to our world.
Sometime ago Tiffany gifted us with an atomizer along with a number of various scents to enjoy and experiment with, in our home. This reminds me of the mission that we have to offer to our world. We are to exude the glory, or amazing scent into our world, unashamedly of our wonderful Savior and Lord, to bring beauty and blessing everywhere we travel into our world.
REMEMBER: You are his treasure to be spread to all of those in our world. To bring those whisps of fragarance to a dark and struggling world,
I was right about Dickens! I guess Yosemite.
