It’s the first Friday of the month, I bet you don’t know

the answer to this riddle. What is dry on the outside, filled with water, and blows up buildings? Do you give up? Well the answer is… a fish tank. Ha! Just joshing you.

Our meditation for today is found in Prov. 19:28 “A corrupt witness makes a mockery of justice; the mouth of the wicked gulps down evil.”

The first truth is that it’s foolish to expect to assist justice from a corrupt persons testimony. The Hebrew interpretation for “corrupt witness” is witness of Satan. Look at how the rest of Proverbs defines this witness:

Prov. 6:12 constant liar

Prov. 6:19 pour it lies to sow

discord

Prov. 19:15 false witness-paid

liar

Prov. 16:27 words as a fire

storm

This concept is seen as someone who follows the ungodly; makes himself at home with the cynic; and looks for new ways to sin.

The second phrase”gulps down evil.” NKJ says it this way “devours evil”. In other words tells lies so often that he believes them. In the world of justice is known as able to pass a “polygraph test” with flying colors because he fools himself into believing his lies.

This is the reason that perjury is punished so severely in a court of law. “True justice hangs on truth, without truth is tyranny.“ Thomas Jefferson

Today we have fact checkers and checkers of the fact checkers and then to top it off truth detectors. What a day.

So Go With God and He will guide you into all truth for He is the very embodiment of all truth. This is what John the only disciple to survive Satans attack said. John 8:32 “And you shall know the truth (speaking of Jesus) and (He) the truth shall make you free.”

His truth is the very source of freedom. Hold onto Him and He will bring complete truth which will result in total freedom to your life.
