Happy Wednesday, Have you heard why the tiger wasn’t able to run any faster. Yes that’s right. Because the rest of the world had him by the tail. Ha ha ohhh!!!
Our meditation for today is found in Prov. 20:9 “Who can say, “I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin”?
This verse began with a rhetorical question, to point out that none of us are completely guiltless.
I Kings 8 was a chapter where Solomon dedicated the temple to God and placed the ark in the location of honor in the holy of holies. Then Solomon prayed in verse 23-53 where he ended in verse 50 these words “Forgive your people who have sinned against you…for they are your people -your special possession.
Psa. 142:2 says “no one is innocent
before you.”
Job asks in Job 4:17 “Can a mortal be innocent before God?”
1 John 1:8 “If we claim we have no
sin, we are only fooling
ourselves”
Rom. 3:10 says “No one is
righteous not even one.”
Then in verse 24 says “God in His grace, freely makes us right in His sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.”
So Go With God for He alone has forgiven our sins and freed us from evil. He alone has called us His special possession. He alone has made us pure in His sight.
It is because of this precious gift His Son that we can say as
The last phrase says “I am pure and free from sin.”
What a priceless gift He has given to us, His adopted children.
As I Kings 8:56 says “Praise the Lord who has given rest to His people…just as He promised.”
