MAKE A GUESS! Is it true? That the average desk has 400 times more bacteria than the average toilet? T or F?
Well I hope you had a great 4th celebration for the birth of our nation.

Ecclesiastes 1:8 "Everything is wearisome beyond description. No matter how much we see, we are never satisfied. No matter how much we hear, we are never content."
This verse is a lesson in just how to live life to the fullest. First it begins with our outlook on the exterior of our life. Then it continues on just how to bring our lives to their fullest enrichment.
We must remember that the collective lesson is to begin our life process with just how we look at it. If through our outlook have not taken the time to engage our lives with spiritual enlightenment. Which, in a nut shell that means, stopping to look at life through the eyes of our Father. That's what I try to take us through this process.
You may say, just how do we enter into that process. My answer is, by reading His Word, just as we are here doing together, you see we together have begun the process. Then we together take a few minutes delving into what is being said, by what has been said.
This verse is encouraging us to be learners. Not just conducting laborious exercise to just get through the process. But instead to rather place our focus on the eternal. Don't just listen to the sound of your work, but rather focus your thoughts in His voice to us. Many times, He is yearning to speak to us, when our mind is in neutral. In other words when we are doing those minotinous tasks without growing through them.
Many inventions have been discovered while people are busily carrying out necessary duties. We must be consciously hearing His voice & see His wonders in our surroundings. For instance, Borax that white gritty substance that is used in "20 Mule Team Borax" this was discovered when miners were boring holes through mountains for rail ways, The equipment they were using was laden with grease & tar, when they would finish their shift they scrubbed for what seemed like hours & many times their skin would be worn raw.
While they were drilling they came across veins of Borax & they discovered the fact that this borax enhanced their clean up process later, they first noticed that when the drills would bore through the borax quickly and the drills would become shinny & clean.
This natural product once discovered was found in many products, such as laundry detergent, cleansing products yes, even used to remove grease from the hands of mechanics, and instilled in laundry detergent, etc. They discovered this ingredient from listening & learning its qualities discovered while under ground.
The difference from boredom or enlightenment is developing an inventive outlook on the mundane efforts we experience in life. Einstein, Edison and so many others in life developed these important skills as they faced challenges.
1) continuous reflection. 2) inventive exploration. 3) thinking with an abstract outlook 4) action oriented thinking. 5) with an opportunity outlook. 6) a positive outlook. 7) a humble inventive mindset.
8) with a courageous; willing to step out of their comfort zone mentality. 9) sensitive to potential outcomes. 10) paying attention to all elements of innovation.
These are just a few of the things that Solomon was striving to focus our thoughts and lives on. (Example) He developed the first desalinization process (making salty ocean water into fresh water) by observing the rain. He noticed that evaporation process removed salt from the water, then he began to experiment with ways to streamline this process. Israel today remains a prosperous nation as a result of this discovery which they have further developed, and modernized.
So Go With God for He can bring enlightenment & benefit from just mundane duties we find necessary in our lives. Solomon & God are urging us to go about our lives learning from these daily boring tasks with an inventive outlook. His ways are always beneficial when we live in this way. Hardships can result in blessing if we but look & listen.
There is a children's song that reflects on this very lesson. It's called "Look & Live my brother live" Take a listen to this song it is packed with truth. You Tube -- Look & Live, Hymn; (Official Lyric Video) Kate Ayomide. Its simple but fact filled.
I say the desk also. I have heard, however, that the dirtiest place in the houseis the kitchen sink and the dirtiest item is the kitchen sponge.
