Happy Saturday you all. By the way do you know or can you guess which professional team introduced the "High Five"? Was it the; New York Yankees; Dallas Cowboys; Boston Celtics; or Los Angeles Dodgers? Guess one. More next week...

Saturday 6/17

Prov. 31:21 "She has no fear of winter for her household, for everyone has warm clothes."

Notice: Each of these verses 20-24 deal with the character quality of making the care of your family the highest priority to care for her family which in turn results in her being fruitful in each of these many ways.

In this verse the result of her efforts, her family has warm clothing to protect them from cold whether in cold places or cold seasons.

This is also guiding us with wisdom to realize that just as weather storms come so also storms in life as well come so we should be prepared, in order to not be caught off guard. As for her placing a priority on providing for her family, she also has sought to prepare her family to withstand the storms of life. Think for a minute just what are some of these storms? _________________________________________________________

How about rejection, or being misunderstood, being accused of wrong doing, these are some of the most common & devastating storms. How can we provide for our children in any of these concerns? One way is to invest in developing strong family support for all of its members. This is uncommon in our culture isn't it? However there are many ways that this can be developed. Through family meal time, devotions, attending church together, taking on tasks that require the whole family's effort, etc.

So the challenge doesn't stop when our children become adults and begin building their own families, no it continues on with building strong relationships with our grand children and continuing to support our children in this challenging age.

Becky and I have fallen onto this vital mission of making an effort to spend individual time with our grandchildren. To take time to develop a way of carrying out this most important effort to help our children & grandchildren to be assured of our love & support and in turn their parents suuport. It is one of the ways we have surprisingly fallen into building a protective provision against those storms in life.

Just as the virtuous woman set out to provide protection from the cold weather, so we must make the effort to protect those we love from feeling that they have no value in their lives. Much emphasis is placed on college & our careers, belongings, etc. but the real vital emphasis needs to be focused on our loved ones feeling valued, vital to the needs of their world, to a strong defense from the evil ones lies (you don't matter). Our world is reeling from this need, for they have failed to enhance the spiritual needs which brings true inner strength to face life's challenges.

So Go With God where he says to us in Matt. 11:28 "Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Oh my dear one this is spoken over 600 times throughout the Bible, because He loves you and desires you to know, that no matter the storms you have gone through or the ones you will face throughout life, you have a place to run too. Come (Run) To Me. Whether your in a wilderness, or a place of slavery, you are loved & have a place of protection in Him. Come to Him for He cares for you. Or as the saying goes He has your back, or in military terms, your 20.

I hope that you will all feel the importance of adding comments where your life has been touched by God, in this similar place in your life, whether related to this thought or not. For that is what gives this post the touch of reality, just small comments you share may be the touch, others who are reading this may be most impacted. I appreciate your likes, but as the Spirit moves please feel free to comment even in just a small way, that comment may be the most impactful on others reading it. Thanks
