Tuesday is a fun day as we have Parker & Kamden join us for the day. It’s always interesting to see life through their eyes.
By the way do you know which dinosaur loves to play golf? That’s right A Tee-Rex. He’s really on the ball. Ha ha
Our meditation for today is found in Prov. 21:8 “The guilty walk a crooked path; the innocent travel a straight road.”
Jesus said in Matt. 12:33 “you’ll know a tree by its fruit”. In other words, we aren’t known by our words but by our fruit.
That reminds of the story of the teen boy who called his girlfriend on the phone. He told her just how much she meant to him and how much he loved her. He told her how if he needed to walk around the world he’d do that just to see her. Then he said “if it weren’t raining tonight I’d come over to you.” Ha ha
We have to ask ourselves; Does my life compare with what I tell Christ how much He means to me? Or as my dad used to say “Walk your talk”. My drama teacher would say, “Be sure you walk where you watch”.
It’s important to ask ourselves; Do we take the path of least resistance or the path of righteousness?
David is a perfect reminder of walking his talk. Even when he was on the run away from Saul who was trying to kill him out of jealousy. But had also been anointed as king, so he showed honor to Saul & refused to harm Him. Recognizing him as the king who God had anointed.
He sacrificed the comforts of home for honor to the king.
Have you noticed that many times the straight (righteous) path is the steepest, hardest, and even sometimes the path of greatest criticism?
However, it is the right path. In a world where perversion is given greatest honor, Go With God for His ways are past finding out.
His path is difficult, but it is also most blessed. His way may be criticized, misunderstood, and most challenging, but it is none the less, most filled with peace, love, and joy. As we walk in His way we have no long term regrets.
King David has always been such an inspiration to me. He wasn't perfect, but his unfailing faith in God and His plan has helped me get out of my own spiritual ruts many times.
