Here's a real breath taker, Ha, ha. What is the record for the longest time to hold your breath?

14min. 9.10sec.; 17min.13.41sec.; 24min.37.36sec.; 22min. 39.24sec. Make your guess, and then hold your breath till tomorrow. Ha, ha.

Challenge:

Psalm 37:4-6; 11; 17; 18-19; 22; 24; 28-29; 34; 37-40. "Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you your heart's desires. Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him, and He will help you. He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun. The lowly will possess the land and will live in peace and prosperity. For the strength of the wicked will be shattered, but the Lord takes care of the godly. Day by day the Lord takes care of the innocent, and the will receive an inheritance that lasts forever. They will not be disgraced in hard times; even in famine they will have more than enough. Those the Lord blesses will possess the land, but those He curses will die. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand. For the Lord loves justice, and He will never abandon the godly. He will keep them safe forever, but the children of the wicked will die. The godly will possess the land and will live there forever. Put your hope in the Lord. Travel steadily along His path. He will honor you by giving you the land. You will see the wicked destroyed. Look at those who are honest and good, for a wonderful future awaits those who love peace. But the rebellious will be destroyed; they have no future. The Lord rescues the godly; He is their fortress in times of trouble. The Lord helps them, rescuing them from the wicked. He saves them, and they find shelter in Him."

Wow, isn't that amazing to look at all of His many promises that He offers to us? This is a great place to stop and reflect on when the walls of insecurity and struggle come falling in upon us.

As a young man I was hiking at a camping site, in Canada, Pine Lake to be exact. All of a sudden the snow below my feet collapsed, and I found myself in a 10 foot deep hole. At first I laughed and thought, Well at least I'm OK, so i'll just get up and climb out.

However, as I attempted that endeavor the snow continued to collapse under my weight. I continued to struggle to climb out for several hundred feet. Exhausted and now becoming fearful I stopped and prayed for God's solution, He guided me to tamp down the snow and build a ramp up to the top of the surface of the snow. Then once on top I found a piece of plywood and used that to spread out my weight till I made my way back to the cabin.

That experience caused me recognize that the Lord will fulfill His promises in our lives if we will but stop and call upon Him for any much needed solutions. In SS this Sunday my teacher Joey Elliott reminded our class of primarily young men, that in times of struggle not to forget to rest in our Fathers care. For He will always be there with a solution to our needs.

SO GO WITH GOD my dear ones, for He has the solution that we need, if we will but put our trust in Him. Are you facing a struggle today that seems impossible to plow through? My encouragement to you is draw to Him and the voice your assurance to Him that you are surrendering your whole bein to Him and His way. Then He will walk you through that seemingly insurmountable struggle, one step at a time.
