Good morning my special friends I trust this post finds you resting in our Lords care. Please uphold our brother Chris as he goes to establish the plan for caring for his cancer in San Diego and also for Brother Sheldon & sister Joan as they officiate at Wayne Seastad’s memorial service.

Sometimes in life we find ourself facing challenges with people in leadership over our lives. Just how can we remain faithful to our Savior and yet respectful the their leadership? There are several people in the Bible who faced this dilemma and yet remained faithful. Joseph was one of those examples for us to learn from because he found himself serving under Pharaoh during Israel’s 400 years in Egypt. He didn’t just survive rather he thrived in difficulty both spiritually & politically. He had a common characteristics which caused him to prosper. Manifested Respect For The King Gen. 41:14 when the king asked to see him he showered, shaved, and changed clothes. In other word he showed outward respect for the king, which demonstrated his inner respect for at least the office. He recognized God’s institution of civil governments even though they may not be directly led by God. Rom. 13:1 also demonstrates this principle “Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God.” Many believers may not uphold this proper attitude of respect when responding to their boss, local leader, or any other national leader. However, we should respect any level of leadership because they have been ordained by God for this position . 1 Pet. 2:13 says For the Lords sake, submit to all human authority whether the king as head of state, or officials He has appointed them ... to punish those who do wrong and to honor those who do right. It is God’s will that your honorable lives should silence those ignorant people who make foolish accusations against you.” We should strive as godly people to show respect for those in positions of authority. Next time we’ll look at the second quality of Biblical example we should struggle to demonstrate in our lives. Until then Go with God my dear one.

This is a hard one to follow. In the past there have been leaders I didn't like but still honored the office, the authority they held and prayed they would hear from God. But with the current office holders I find it almost impossible to have respect or even desire to pray except for them to be changed or removed!
