It’s another day to look for the Father‘s wisdom. Hey, by the way, Do you know Why the baby cookie cried? Well it was because, he felt crummy. Ahhh!!!

Oh well, our meditation is found in Prov 18:11 “The rich think of their wealth as a strong defense; they imagine it to be a high wall of safety,”

Remember, yesterday we were reminded that the righteous turn to God for protection. Now today we are reminded that the natural response for those who are wealthy, to trust in that resource for their security.

“They imagine it to be a high wall of safety” this security is merely a delusion; for wealth can’t offer protection because it can be lost in seconds. Health, life, love can easily be lost in this life without; The Father’s protection, eternity is only attainable through Christ.

God’s protection is a prominent theme throughout the Bible. Such as found in Psalm 91:1-4 “Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust Him. For He will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. … His faithful promises are your armor and protection.”

It is important to be conscience that even the greatest amount of wealth can be lost in a plunge of the stock market. True security is based only on the goodness of our Heavenly Father. Jesus said “Look at the birds, or flowers, I take care of them. (Luke 12:27,28)

This doesn’t mean we aren’t to be good stewards, or wise in the use of our riches. We should, however, remember to be trusting in His love rather than the gifts that He gives us.

So Go With God and He will meet your needs, regardless of your resources in this life. Give praise to Him for His limitless——- love. Pray for others who live life outside of the Father’s love to see the security they are missing, by your example in life.
