So, What should you call a gathering of single hikers? That’s right, A Trail Mixer.
Prov. 25:4,5 “Remove the impurities from silver, and the sterling will be ready for the silversmith. Remove the wicked from the king’s court, and his reign will be made secure by justice.”
This proverb compares the necessity for purity in silver’s usefulness & the same need for righteousness in the rule of a king.
If silver is impure, then it’s usefulness is limited, just as a king who has wicked counsel members will render unjust rulings.
Silver that is corrupted isn’t valuable to the silver craftsmen
A corrupted adviser will render failed leadership
If we desire to be used by God in our lives, our focus needs to be seen through a clear path of vision. If we allow our eyes to have dust in them, then our vision will be distorted. Just as impurities need to be removed from silver, life’s impurities need to be removed from our lives.
Otherwise, the reflection of Christ won’t be seen in us. His glory, grace & fullness won’t be seen in our lives. In Jeremiah 15:19 God told him that his role in life was to restore the Jewish people to be His ambassadors in their corrupted world. This is our same role today.
However, we must first seek after the righteousness of Christ.
So Go With God for He alone can transform us into children of light, beauty, and fullness.
