Well it’s Saturday the worlds catch up day. This is my second time at attempting to make this post. The first time after completing my post and proofing it I had only the last sentence to complete and it trailed into text forgotten land. Ha, oh well.
Hey, can you guess how to write “water” with 3 letters? You were right, HOO. You know H2O,
Todays meditation comes from Prov. 20:24 “A man’s steps are of the Lord; How can a man understand his own way?”
This verse is presented in riddle form, a statement & then a question.
First the statement: Our Father has determined & ordained our life’s purpose.
Second, We will not really know just what His plans were till we see Jesus.
This reminds me of a traveling artist/evangelist who would always amaze me. Growing up in country cow town USA that probably wasn’t too difficult.
I can’t remember his name, but his truths will forever be emblazoned in my memory. He would begin, as he drew talking of Our Father’s designs, in the Bible, creation, animals, and mankind’s history.
As he drew us in, with his chalk he drew all of us in with the story & picture as he illustrated these messages from the Bible.
Unbeknownst to us he was sewing in a message of God’s ultimate truth through the art work before us. We only saw the art before us, but when he turned on the black light at the top of his art, suddenly to our surprise God’s ultimate message was revealed.
I can’t help but think that this is what Solomon is passing on to us.
Our Father has lovingly brought or allowed things into our lives, blessings, hardships, victories, trials, etc. In order to accomplish His life purpose & message for our life through these times. The ultimate truth He will proclaim in our lives in His perfect time.
So Go With God & He will reveal His loving purposes through our lives. Just think, that will probably be the very first thing we will be introduced too in heaven. We will probably be welcomed to a panorama of our life & His story through our story.
I was reminded of what joy & rejoicing our dear brother Chris had just this week. The hugs, smiles, words of rejoicing, rich fellowship he is enjoying this very minute, they we’re the welcoming experiences he has been enjoying.
The first moments of being rejoined at the Refuge Run are pale remembrances to that very first moment in heaven.
The song “It will be worth it all when we see Jesus” is a memory we will be reminded of, in that first moment when we enter those pearly gates.
We continue to miss our dear brother Chris, but his last few months, his struggles & pain are gone.
The realization of his lifetime of obedience & trust in our precious Savior as His ambassador are now well worth all its struggle.
