Challenge:
Ecclesiastes 6:11
"The more words you speak, the less they mean. So what good are they?"
Today this verse goes back to the verses of yesterday, when man questions God's wisdom in comparison to the common thinking of everyday mankind's thinking. It is when wise men consider the thought process by contrasting God’s supremacy with humanity’s limitation.
By the way, the New King James translation ends this verse with, "How is man the better?" Or how can finite man possibly conclude that his reasoning could possibly be better than the infinite God's wisdom?
The intimation in this verse is that no matter how many words, or how reasonable man's thinking may seem, yet the wisdom of God still remains the standard by which ultimate truth is determined by.
Take, for instance, man's attempt to reason out just how all of creation that surrounds us can be determined and just how it came into being. Today's scientists attempt to reason away God and His claim of absolute creation in six days. They have concocted a myriad of differing answers to God's statement of His creative work. And no matter how many years this process could have taken, millions of years, etc, still they are bumbling over this. Just how it is possible that the tendency of things which naturally deteriorate with time could possibly improve over millions of years and result in develop in so many ways?
So far in our existence, we look around us and we only see how time brings a lessening of development. Just think! Is your body improving? Is your appearance and your physical traits improving in the past 30 years of age? Or are they lessening in beauty? What about your skin? Do you have less or more wrinkles, blemishes, a d healthy skin integrity? Are the beauty magazines picturing 70 year old people and their progress to beauty as a common trait?
You see, it is common knowledge that age generally brings on the weakening of strength and beauty, Right? And yet, intelligent scientists still attempt to support the improving development of evolution throughout our world. And no matter how many books are printed, speeches are given, blogs are spoken, still the process of degrading proves their many words wrong.
God's evidence still stands strong, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.". We must admit that to believe otherwise takes a greater amount of words to convince us than man has the ability to speak. Just the standing evidence is greater proof than any mass of scientists can bring to bear.
Deuteronomy 32:4 "He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he." He is trustworthy in every way, So why not rest in His words, and ways? His work is perfect and right. Rest in His ways my dear friend they are yet to be effectively, reasonably proven wrong.
