Good morning my dear saint. I was intrigued by this 5 year study of seniors who are over 100 by the University of Georgia. They found 4 common qualities present in these centenarians lives. 1) Optimism

2) Engagement 3) Mobility and 4) Adaptability

Our meditation for today is found in Prov. 17:6 “Grandchildren are the crowning glory of the aged; parents are the pride of their children.”

“It has been said that nothing makes a boy or girl smarter than being a grandchild.” Ha ha!!! And I must admit that to be true. In my life, I daily am amazed at just how gifted all of my 15 grandchildren are, each of them go so far beyond what I imagined.

Our meditation is around the bend stating that the grandparents that are engaging in the very qualities that causes longevity, will also enrich & fulfill their purpose.

The greatest investment we can make in our grandchildren and other young people in our lives is optimism in their future achievements, engagement in what they do well and work hard at, mobility by making every attempt to be present or involved in their everyday lives, adaptability work hard at NOT taking the attitude of “when I was a kid” but rather, “wow, you are so talented”.

The amazing thing about this is that when grandparents take this life direction, not only do they live longer, but as Ex. 20:12 says you will “live a full life“ and not only that but you will as Prov. 17:6b says “parents are the pride of their children.”

In other words your children will admire your efforts at loving, investing, and taking interest in their children’s achievements.

Just like all of our Heavenly Fathers many instructions when we follow them, they will in turn bring abundant benefits to our lives.

So Go With God and the results will go beyond what you could ever desire or even dream. No wonder, the more we follow our Father’s ways the greater our love for Him grows, and the more others are drawn to Him through our behavior.
