Trivia:

Well the answer to yesterday's trivia question was; Where are a lobsters' teeth located? The correct answer is that they're teeth are in their stomach. This contains a gastric mill, that grinds up his food before digestion. This gastric mill is found in the first stomach which lies right behind his eyes.

Here is a new question; Where did the first ever McDonald's Drive In open? Was it in Downey, CA.; Phoenix, Arizona; San Bernardino. CA.; or was it in Des Plaines, Illinois?

Challenge:

Psalm 85:1-3 "Lord, you poured out blessings on your land! You restored the fortunes of Israel. 2 You forgave the guilt of your people--yes, you covered all their sins. 3 You held back your fury. You kept back your blazing anger."

This Psalm is developed in four sections:

Verses 1-3 celebrates God's favor on God's chosen nation and the instance of revival that Israel experienced. Or as the saying goes, "Man's greatest need is God's greatest deed." Romans 6:23 states it this way. "The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

This proves for us that man's greatest need is for the forgiveness of sin.

This reminds me of my reading in College that's when the Moravian missionaries travelled to Alaska in order to share the gospel with the people there, they discovered that they had no word for forgiveness. So the people came up with this word of 25 letters, issumagijoujungnainermik for forgiveness. It is in fact, the longest word in their in their vocabulary, and literally means, "not being able to think about it anymore."

Oh, my friend that is what God does. When we are forgiven, our sins are buried in the deepest sea, they are placed as far as the east is from the west from God's memory. (Psalm 103:12)

Only the Lord has the ability to delete it from His memory bank. That is why you and I have the freedom to come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may find mercy and help in time of need, In those days the sin was covered. In our day, it was washed away by the blood of the Lamb, Jesus.

SO GO WITH GOD for He alone removes our sin for all time. We all may say that we forgive, but He alone cleanse it forever. We have the tendency to temporarily forget it but let some other offense come up, and as surely as I write these words they easily become recounted at least in our thoughts, if not by our mouth. Am I not right?

That is what makes the forgiveness of God so unique, it is forever forgiven, removed. As verse 2 states it "You covered all their sins." Verse 4 proves the extent of His forgiveness for each of us, next week we will dig deeper into this next work that only God is able to accomplish in our lives.
