Happy Monday it’s always curious just what this new week has in store for us isn’t it. Have you ever wondered why mints are many times handed out in your high end restaurants? Well the answer is that mint oil has been proven to calm the stomach, soooo that is the reason for this. Hum, Thus Altoids have been refreshing mouths & calming tummies since the 1780’s.
Todays meditation is found in Prov. 18:2 “A fool has no delight in understanding, But in expressing his own heart.” (Feelings)
A foolish person puts more importance on his feelings than in the facts that surround him. It has been said that faith, fact, feeling are like 3 men walking on top of a tight rope.
Fact is in front. Faith in the middle. Feeling is at the end. As long as faith looks straight ahead at fact, he’s alright. But once faith turns around and looks at feeling, we’ll it’s all over,” they all go tumbling down” as the song goes.
Have you noticed that when you take your attention off the facts and instead analyze your feelings, you fall. You see our faith must be based on facts that God says in his Word.
For example God says in Heb. 13:5 “I will never leave you or forsake you” and if we keep focused on that fact, we will do just fine.
But if we start thinking & saying “I don’t feel Him with me today.” We will stumble & fall.
So also in our lives, when we follow the tendency to focus on feelings rather than facts & faith. Just as the foolish person we will fail to develop our understanding and the moments feelings will misguide our path and we will find ourselves rolling down the hill, rather than traversing up the narrow, steep path to higher ground.
So Go With God and He will guide your walk with both fact and faith and you will joy in the feelings of accomplishment and blessings, rather than falter in failure. Then others who have faltered in their feelings, will take heart in the fact of God’s love they see you walking in, and begin in that blessed direction also. Remember, He will never leave you or forsake you, go forward with that “faith fact“ my dear one.
