Our meditation for today is found in Prov. 21:6 “Wealth created by a lying tongue is a vanishing and a deadly trap.”
This is the second warning in another harmful way to acquire wealth.
A lying tongue - 2 Pet. 2:3 calls it
cleaver lies
Solomon warns us that to gain wealth, money or possessions, will ultimately either actually disappear or will trap us in a deadly fashion. (Not just hurt but destruction)
Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” The emphasis on this present world is here placed on “truth”. The warning here is to be careful of intentional false words or promises, for they will result in harm to them.
So Go With God and He will guard our safety for truth telling and fill our lives with blessings.
