Trivia:

Way to go everyone you all guessed right, The 20's women who bobbed their hair & wore short skirts were called Flappers.

Here's another question, How many waterfalls form Niagara Falls? 2; 3; 6; 4. Make your guess.

Challenge:

Psalm 40:16-17 "But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness in You. May those who love salvation repeatedly shout, "The Lord is great!" 17 As for me, since I am poor and needy, let the Lord keep me in His thoughts. YUou are my helper and my savior. O my God, do not delay."

David ends these two thoughts in this chapter:

The ones who ask Yahweh for help won't be disappointed

The Lord will both be your helper & savior should you call on Him

What he is reminding us it that to the degree that we call out to God, it will be toi that extent He will reach out lovingly and faithfully. If we only call out to Him when we face troubles, we will only experience His presence then. If we call out to Him as a daily, moment by moment practice, we will experience fellowship with Him continually.

Next David reminds us that when we are lowly in heart (humble rather than prideful) and reach out to Him in our every thought, then He well each moment reach out to us. He will quickly respond to our needs.

Philippians 1:6 reiterates this promise, "But this we know, that He who began a good work in us will be faithful to continue it all the way until that day that we see Jesus."

So my dear one GO WITH GOD for He will remain in your life to the extent that you reach out to Him. When we realize the extent of our weakness and inadequacy, to that level He will be our helper and deliverer.

So this question is spoken to you. How much of the time do your prayers involve rejoicing in His working in your life? How much of the time are your prayer taken up with your own personal desires.

Does your communication to Him primarily consist of please do this or please do that; or does it consist of regularly expressing these words, "The Lord is great, magnified, and faithful."

Remember the words spoken in the past; "Poverty and need are not barriers to the thoughts of God."
