Happy Vets Day! A heart felt thank you to everyone of those men & women who have selflessly served our country. We are forever endeared to you.

Here is a little factoid for you all. Did you know that for every human on earth, there are 1.6 million ants. No wonder God spoke of them in the Bible a number of times. They are earths cleaning crew, both below & above ground.

Prov. 25:7,8 “Just because you’ve seen something, don’t be in a hurry to go to court. For what will you do in the end if your neighbor deals you a shameful defeat.”

This section of verses 7-10 deals with two warnings regarding dealings with those people in your life. Today we will deal with the first warning:

1) Don’t make something public about your neighbor that you aren’t sure of;

This waning is encouraging us to be cautious of a hasty decision, regarding exposing a

hunch. This is usually due to a personal conclusion that has been made. The result being

embarrassment for a making wrong conclusion.

How many times in your life have you hastily reached a wrong conclusion regarding

someone else’s intentions? Then you have had to apologize for that wrong reaction?

This verse is warning us to go slow, seek insight before making the wrong conclusion and

involving others in our misunderstanding.

Prov. 17:14 “Starting a quarrel is like breaching a dam; so drop the matter before a dispute

breaks out.”

Ask yourself this question. Which is easier, speaking complimentary, encouraging words or

thinking questioning thoughts of another person?

Solomon is encouraging us to direct our thoughts towards positive things, not harmful

Phil. 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, … just, … pure,… lovely, … of good report, and if there is any praise, think on these hinges.”

So Go With God for He will look to your defense, even when others may seek to bring harm to you.
