Our meditation today is found in
Prov. 21:25 "Despite their desires, the lazy will come to ruin, for their hands refuse to work."
These next two verses compare the lazy person & the godly person. In short, lazy people look for what they can take, while the righteous look for what they can give.
Laziness is prone to bring ruin to all those who have been infected with its disease. It causes people who are able to contribute much, to fall into lives of useless existence.
While those who strive to contribute in any way they are capable of, to bring blessing & benefit to many others who surround them.
It is so easy to be devastated by our losses & as a result decline to a hopeless state. I believe the refusal of past generations in our country was the very basis of their great success.
We must be on the look out for ways to contribute to all those around us. Never giving into the feelings of hopelessness, helplessness, or uselessness.
As long as we have breath we have purpose. Words of encouragement, or ears of care & concern are some of the greatest contributions we are able to provide.
So Go With God, He knows our weaknesses & our strengths and He can make our weakness our strength. His Spirit knows the ways in which we can influence others.
We must be careful to follow His guidance on a moment by moment basis, for a day by day impact in ours & others lives.
