Good morning it’s a new week to learn of our Lord’s plan for us. Please continue to pray for Chris & Vicky that the Lord would see fit to heal them both. Also thank you for praying for Ben Ben & Kamden as the have greatly improved.

As we continue to consider just what our goals should be this new year, let’s look at Proverbs 8:5-11 You simple (ordinary) people, use good (supernatural) judgement. .. show some understanding . Listen to me! For I have important things to tell you. Everything I say is right (accurate) for I speak the truth (based on integrity) for I speak the truth and detest every kind of deception. (bias & ethical) My advice is wholesome. (beneficial) There is nothing devious or crooked in it. My words are plain (easily comprehended) to anyone with understanding (seeking to understand) clear to those with knowledge. Choose my instruction rather than silver, and knowledge rather than pure gold. For wisdom is far more valuable than rubies. Nothing you desire can compare with it. In short, God tells us to value these six things: Prudence, uprightness (noble)

rationality, ethical (straight) straightforwardness (not (deceptive, open) truthful (not doublespeak, trustworthy)

The sinful world is blind and deaf so they reason out things in their lives without the quality's of wisdom, however, as believers we need to live for eternal truth. On other words to make the purest decisions possible. To filter through our mind the conscious decisions we must make. This necessitates slowing down, considering the consequence or benefits, and then the result will be good, wise, enduring outcomes.

In this action packed world this is a hard pill to swallow, but it is also an enriching quality to seek after. Mark Twain said “It isn’t what I don’t understand about the Bible that worries me, but what I do understand.” Also “Many people might have attained wisdom had they not assumed they already had it.” So wisdom comes to those who hunger & thirst to be taught, instructed, be guided by God we who will grow. Wisdom cries out, “Simple ones come to me, if we accept this invitation we will be proven wise” Remember Jesus isn’t only the source of all wisdom, but the very essence of it. God with God my dear saint and you will be seen as wise.
