In What Ways Does God Care For His Saints?
Trivia:
Way to go everyone: Yes the Beatles song with the lyrics, “Na -na-na-na-na-na” repeated 19 times was “Hey Jude”. It continues to be a song that is still popular today, where the crowd picks up the tune when it is begun by a band. Where the coda is sung 4 minutes of the seven minute song.
Who carefully watched as baby Moses floated in the basket down the Nile? His mother; Pharaoh’s daughter; Other Jealous mothers; His caring big sister?
Challenge:
Psalm 106:43-48 “Again and again He rescued them, but they chose to rebel against Him, and they finally destroyed by their sin. 44 Even so, He pitied them in their distress and listened to their cries. 45 He remembered His covenant with them and relented because of His unfailing love. 46 He even caused their captors to treat them with kindness. 47 Save us, O Lord our God! Gather us back from among the nations, so we can thank your holy name and rejoice and praise you. 48 Praise the Lord, the God of Israel, who lives from everlasting to everlasting! Let all the people say, “Amen!” Praise the Lord!”
Notice: How their enemy (Satan) drew the people back to their sinful ways. Even though God would deliver them from their sinful, rebellious ways, they would return back to their sins. He even listened to their cries, and pitied the fact that these ways always brought back their struggles. Then their loving Father would repetitively responded in forgiveness, and healing, cleansing, and salvation. He even dealt graciously by instilling a kindness in the hearts of their enemies.
What would our tendency be should those that we are friends with follow this sort of rebellious repetitive action? Would we kindly listen to their feelings of sorrow though they had continuously chosen this path even though they had experienced these same bitter consequences before? Would sympathy and compassion be the automatic response to that we felt in these circumstances?
We must admit that we probably wouldn’t immediately respond in this way, under these series of events. Right??? Yet God, In His loving ways responded to the people of Israel in this way, with forgiveness, healing, salvation, and unfailing love.
SO GO WITH GOD for salvation is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord. Though we have no claim to these things on our own merit, Yet, He pours out these wondrous things on our lives. When we call out with these petitions; “Save us, O Lord our God! … Praise the Lord, the God of Israel, … Let all the people say, “Amen!” Praise the Lord!” Then He graciously pours out His forgiveness, cleansing, and healing. “Blessed be the name of the Lord on High.”
