Well it seems that most of you are aware of the minimum age requirement for becoming a president, of course it is 35 years old. Well, Do you know why the cars needed to take an afternoon nap? Well you guessed it right. It was because it was out of gas. I for one totally understand that dilemma, Ha.

Prov. 28:11 "The rich man is wise in his own eyes, But the poor who has understanding searches him out.

Hey do you remember the Proverb of 26:12? "There is more hope for fools than for people who think they are wise."

The concept being presented here is two pronged.

The person who is arrogant, or otherwise refuses to gain wisdom from God or anyone else who is being

instructed by God is doomed.

The person who has determined to become a life long learner, daily sitting as Jesus' feet, will gain the

greatest treasure of all wisdom.

Sometimes as we have been traversing through this book we have noticed that wealth generally accompanies wisdom - Prov. 14:24 "Wealth is a crown for the wise..."

However the Biblical pattern is really that, generally wealth is assumed to be gained through the commitment of a persons dedication to gaining godly wisdom. There are a number of accounts of foolish children who gained wealth through inheritance, rather than their personal trek for wisdom. (Prov. 28:6; Prov. 15:16,17)

In this book there are many studies based on the better...than...pattern. (Prov. 12:9; 15:16-17; 16:8,19; 17:1; 21:9,19; 25:24; 27:5; 28:6) These to name a few are directed to guide us into ...better...than... studies. They help place the value of one thing over another, and by that, inviting us to consider the options laid out in the verse. For instance Prov. 16:16 "Better to have little, with the fear of the Lord, than to have great treasure and inner turmoil"

This verse is helping us to recognize that the real treasures in life, isn't wealth in any form, but rather right relationship with a great & mighty God, which in turn brings great wisdom, beyond our own ability. There will be many times in life when we surrender ourselves to God & His wisdom, rather than our ways. The final result will be blessings, and inner peace, and most times success.

We must be careful not to confuse earthly gain over godly wisdom. For the person who has understanding of what truly matters in life, will finish his life with a mass of true wealth, treasure, that brings benefit to the many lives they are surrounded by, in their life.

Right now there is an awakening to God & His wonder at Asbury University, and is leaking out to many other such places. The media is enamered with the attraction of youth to this. They send reporters to view, analyze, delve into the reasoning behind this phnomenemn, they are confused, baffled, its not a concert, or give away, there is no seeming artificial, man made event, etc. Its simply young people in mass being drawn to the Beauty of His, (our Fathers) holyness. The world cannot fathom this, they are totally dumbfounded. Searching out God & His wonder is a common practice for the believer, for that is truly the desire of believers who attend His church. Its as the verse says, "searching Him out".

Daily as we sit at His feet, here in our Proverb study, this is the unnatural draw that we experience, searching to know Him, and the wisdom of His ways. They are so simple, unvarnished, and yet Awe inspiring. As we close our thoughts on His presence in our hearts & minds we are filled with the wonder of His ways.

So Go With God for just as many today are searching for Him, we are right now in this very instant sitting under His teaching, just as the throngs travelled to hear Jesus voice, to feel His touch, to recognize His ways, many in our world are being drawn, we need only speak His ways & others will be refreshed in His works. When believers fail to gather at His feet, listen to His words, meditate on His instruction, and then follow those guidelines we fail to experience the power of His presence in our hearts & minds. That is the very essence of drawing together, surrendering our hearts, minds, souls for a time, then we are reminded of the refreshing work of gathering, hearing His instruction, being brought together, our wounds, worry's, struggles, & then being bound up, brought healing & enrichment. Thank you Father for we search out your workings in our life.
