Good morning its Thursday can you believe it? We're in February and its actually the first Thursday of the month.

Well, you guessed it; We are about to settle the age old question. "How many toes does the average cat have? Now I'm qualifying by saying the average cat, because Richard & Jen have a famous cat "Hopalong" & he only has three legs, so that's why I put in the qualifier, "average cat".

I'm speaking of four footed cats. Is it 20; 18; 16; or 24? Make a guess and we'll dig into this age old question tomorrow. Oh by the way here's a hint; something to understand is that cats are "digitigrades" which means they walk on their toes, More tomorrow

Thursday 2/2

Prov. 27:20 "Just as Death and Destruction are never satisfied, so human desire is never satisfied."

This verse lays out for us the full scope of God's ability to see, His view stretches even to the realm of the dead. And he confirms for us that even in death when we are without Him is emptiness. This lifetime fact that we aren't ever fully satisfied points this fact out, in fact it YELLS it out. Life without God is EMPTY..

This verse lays out the extent to which Our Father can see. He can see all the way to Death, Hebrew "she'ol" Destruction, Hebrew "avad" both of these terms describe the shadowy underworld that Satan controls.

The inference here is that he (Satan) the god of our underworld, and he is always striving to keep his hold on sinners in our present world. That includes those who rebelliously have refused God's atonement for their sin and those who have unknowingly put off trusting in Him. As a result they are doomed to these dark, shadowy places.

That's why when we are encouraging these slaves of their sinful condition, to come to the loving, caring hands of our Savior, we feel such a desperate concern for them. It is their soul that we are concerned for.

Job spoke of this in his book; 3:13; 14:13; 26:6; for he could visualize the destiny of this suffering beyond where he was here on this earth. The death of those who refuse the saving arms of Jesus our Savior. That is why the deep urging we feel when we see those who because of their blinded eyes are living in the ways of destruction. Psa. 88:10-12 and Rev. 9:11, speaks of these horrendous places.

Solomon is striving to warn us the extent that mankind outside of Christ is being driven. As the Beatles song says "Can't get no satisfaction." This is such a drawing force of Satan & his demons in our world. "This will satisfy your craving heart", however, once you acquire that, it is as empty as the place you already have left.

He is trying to warn us (God's children) that the things, desires, stuff of our world will never satisfy. The Bible shares these same warnings:

1 John 2:16 "this world offers only cravings, pleasures, ... that can never satisfy"

James 3:16 "the world's wickedness will corrupt your whole life"

Eccl. 1:8 "Everything is wearisome ...nothing can ever satisfy"

Only He is able to give you rest Jesus spoke of this in Matt. 11:28 "Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

So Go With God for He alone will bring full & complete satisfaction. Call on Him, Talk with Him, Rest in Him. Strive to bring others to Him, for He will bring true, satisfaction.
