Good guess everyone, Yes, the common desk is more germ infested than the average toilet. To avoid as much contamination at Tony Tobin (the school I worked at), I encouraged having each student disinfect their desk each morning. We even provided wipes & disinfect spray each morning after announcements.

Ecclesiastes 1:9 "History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new."

This verse points out the good & bad of life.

Bad - outside of God's influence man is prone to repeat his actions, therefore, he is doomed to

repetition, monotony, and for mankind that is continually evil.

Good - within the influence of God, His desire is to bring new things to our life, He yearns to bring

benefit & blessings to us, for when His desires reign foremost in our lives each event has

new importance & meaning.

As you can see, on these choices hinge our future: boredom & monotony OR meaning & fullfilment, the choice is ours.

Listen to this popular poem who's author is unkown:

Worldly joy is fleeting- vanity itself;

Vain the dazzling brightness,

Vain the stores of wealth;

Vain the pomp and glory; only Thou canst give

Peace and satisfaction while on earth we live.

There is none, Lord Jesus, there is none like Thee

For the soul that thirsteth, there is none like Thee.

So let's think through these conclusions:

In all actuality, its not history that repeats itself, it is actually mans sinfulness that tends to bring the

same outcome, right?

To confirm this truth, think for a minute of Lamentations 1:8,9 (Man taking no regard of God)

"Jerusalem has sinned greatly and so has become unclean. ... Her filthyness clung to her skirts; she did

not consider her future. ... "

COMPARED TO:

Lam. 3:22, 23 (Man looking to God for forgiveness & blessing)

"It is the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions they fail not, They are new

every morning: great is your faithfulness."

So Go Wth God for His loving mercy & kindness is new every day. If we will daily rest & walk in Him we will experience His mercy in fresh ways each day. In Israel's case they refused to walk with Him & their lives continued on that downward spiral. If we, as the song we listened to yesterday, "Look to Jesus now & live."

He will renew us each & everyday. So my dear one don't forget to call out to Him, and then look to Him and you will live in the freshness that only He can promise.
