Challenge:

Psalm 20:1-5 "In times of trouble, my the Lord answer your cry. May the name of the God of Jacob keep you safe from all harm. May He send you help from His sanctuary and strengthen you from Jerusalem. May He remember all your gifts and look favorably on your burnt offerings. May He grant your heart's desire and make all your plans succeed. May we shout for joy when we hear of your victory and raise a victory banner in the name of our God. May the Lord answer all your prayers.

This is known as The Royal Psalm, which the high priest was said to have prayed over David, that first time when he faced Goliath the giant, and he just a young teen shepherd boy. And Israel stood behind him insecure and shaking in fear, feeling unable to face the nation of the Philistines. However, afterward this prayer was many times spoken as a blessing on the kings army by David king of Israel.

In earlier times he shared this as they together; king & army faced combat with those who had willfully become their enemy. Then later, he shared it when he was unable to personally enter into the fray, to his men as a reminder of God's promise on them, the royal army.

Now let's focus on several promises that we should dwell when facing struggles in our own personal lives.

Remember:

When we face times of conflict in our life; who's side are we on? The Lord's

Who do we represent? The God of Jacob

What is the outcome offered to His children as the trust in His mighty power? Safety and victory

What is our Lord's response to us as we lay ourselves before Him in sacrifice? Favor and blessings

What will be the result of God's people trusting and calling on Him? victory and the proclamation of His name, upholding His banner of honor.

SO GO WITH GOD my friend, for each time that we set aside time to cleanse our heart, place our confidence in Him. and then move forward in His strength, we are certain of His victory, and success, which ultimately results in our praise for His many triumph's.
