Good Tuesday to you my dear friend. Today wer’re going to test your Bible knowledge.

Where did Jesus walk on water? 1) Sea of Galilee

2) Jordan River

3) Nile River

4) Red Sea

If you guessed the 1) Sea of Galilee. Ding, Ding, Ding, You are right. Way to go.

Our meditation for today is found in Prov. 19:6 “Many seek favors from a ruler; Everyone is the friend of a person who gives gifts!”

There is a principle hidden in this verse: Love people & Use things.

However, many times the opposite is true.

The Hebrew term that is used here is stressing the uniqueness of a generous person who has grasp the concept of loving people.

Many times people use gifts in order to gain favor, maybe to advance their career or to give the appearance of importance.

Jesus in His ministry did just the opposite, He gave to those who had nothing to give back. (Sick gave health; blind gave sight; poor gave food, etc.)

In fact in Luke 14:13,14 Jesus said to his disciples; “…invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. Then at the resurrection of the righteous, God will reward you for inviting those who could not repay you.”

It has been wisely said, “You can judge a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.”

Jesus hung out with those who, in the world’s eyes, were unimportant and forgotten.

So Go With God giving yourselves to those considered unacceptable and He will lift you up. The down trodden, the discouraged, the broken, just as He did, this is pleasing to Him. “Love people and Use things.
